maf sensor calibrator

was wondering if anyone could help with some questions i have about the maf sensor calibrator first of all i live in oklahoma and id dont have anyway of tuneing it a have a volant intake ,urd y-pipe,jba headers , flowmaster 40 series muffler .do i have to soldier the connections or can i use a quick splice.and will i be able to tell a difference if i dont tune it.i dont know of anyone here in oklahoma that has installed one or who can do you guys know of anyone

It is a very, very, very good idea to solder the conections. I would not trust quick connections on something that important. If something came loose there is no telling what would happen. URD only offers pre set fuel maps for the stock intake or the URD intake. So you would have to tune it. Have you read the U-tune write-up at URD's web site? Tunning is pretty simple because you are only tunning the AFR and not the timing.

ya ive read it but i dont have a wide band or anything like that to tune it and i really dont undersatnd anything their talking about on the u-tune write up ive never missed with anything like this before

im wondering if the guys urd urd might know somene here in tulsa that can tune it for me

I would definitely solder those connections.

The unit itself comes pre-mapped for stock trucks or ones w/ the CAI. Since you have a bunch of other stuff, it would be ideal to re-tune it for optimum performance.

So does the URD MAF work with any CAI?

yes and with any other mods. It lets you adjust the fuel trim to the mods you add.
