Two 6 1/2" elemental design subwooferes (AKA the eu-700). Sounds pretty good to me. I laid about 4 or 5 layers of fiberglass down underneath and cut a peice of MDF to fit on top.

I can't decide if I want to use vinyl or carpet.

The seats are mocked up for now. I am not sure about the brackets

For those who already have an amp under the driver's seat, it is possible to fit an amp under the passenger seat. All you have to do is take the seat out. Remove the support bar that blocks you from putting an amp under there and put it back in upside down. It was kind of a pain, but you can do it.

:hmmmm2: I just found out that the back seats are not internally braced, so if you sit on them they will flex and hit the sub. I will probably take them apart and see if I can add some bracing to support the seat.

I LOVE this concept. For people with a child, like myself, who can't sacrifice their backseat for a sub box - this is a great compromise! NICE WORK!

Is there enough clearence between the front of the sub and the seat? does it hit the seat? I know those ECU's have a ton of excursion for a mini sub.

Yes, I raised the brackets up higher than the top of the MDF so that is not an issue.

but i'm still too poor to think about more audio upgrades right now.

You can't fit 8's in there. You can fit 3 6 1/2 if you put 2 on one side because there is a hump in the middle. There is enough air space for 3. You could fit 4 but you would not have enough air space. I had to put some scrap peices of would in mine because I had to much air space.
