New antenna's?

Hey guys Im new to this awesome site, Im glad there is finally one out there for xrunner owners...anyways, i was wondering if anyone has changed their stock antenna with maybe a short rubber one like on the s2ks.

I have heard of some switching to some billet ones.. i think you can get them at like auto zone and places and also people have cut there stocks ones to make them shorter.

At a local Auto shop i baught a six inch billet antenna and it looks and works great but if i had a lil cash i would get rid of it all together and just run my xm (fm/am radio is out of date).

I hope to post pics soon, im in the process of getn my rims powder coated, so it looks really sad right now. However, when its done ill be sure to post em up. I wanna black out the whole truck so i would need a black one.

I have a short billet antenna on my truck and my intention is to go blacked out as well. I'm going to have it powder-coated black to match the rest of my truck when my grilles come in

It was an autoparts store in Co. I think it was Napa, yeah that sound about right, it was around 20 buck, not bad I guess. I like it a lot better then that stock p.o.s. and it quality is about the same.

Nope not anymore.
My antenna is a Spike. Its about 12" tall, and comes to a VERY sharp tip. Its black.

i have a short antenna. i got it on antennax.com. i think it was the eurostyle antenna. it's only like ten buck plus four something for shipping.

what did you cut it with? I tried, and I can't cut it with anything!! I even tried a hacksaw.
