Snagged this Lexus GX470 wheel from a buddy who had it on his 4runner. Weekend project.

Ran into a hiccup on the back of the wheel where it fits into the clock spring it different.. guess they are the same in the SUV's but not on the Tacoma. Any ideas to make it work I am gonna try and trim some plastic and put the clock spring in at a slight angle, but that's a little risky. Maybe I can just get a 4runner or Lexus clockspring and switch them out?

Yeah stealer ship wanted 246.00 F that white noise. Found them online for 40. Think I can get away with just swapping the clocks out and I won't have any issues?

Nice job! Whats the size difference between the wheels? I have been wanting to get a smaller wheel in mine but hadn't found much info to this point about safely dealing with the airbag.

I haven't finished it yet sadly need to get a new clockspring. For the airbag just unhook your battery then your safe.

That's a given...I meant keeping the airbag system functional with a different wheel especially smaller ones that don't exactly bolt in.

Honestly if your moving down to a smaller wheel, I am betting you'll need to switch out the airbags as well. I know guys switched out their 05-11 wheels out for the 12+ and they had to switch everything I believe.
