yep, if you lose 17% through the drivetrain of a 236hp motor your pushin 196rwhp if you do the math. pretty darn close i say!

Just got an iPhone 3G today. First thing I did when I got it was get this app. Haven't used it yet, but looking forward to playing with it and see what kind of numbers I'll get!:top:

I just downloaded it too. I'll post up my numbers tomorrow and let you mechanic guys figure out if it's close or not. :biggrin:

thing is i just ordered a itouch second gen and thought i would download/buy the software and download it on my pc? is this a no no?

You have to do it through the "app store" on iTunes :top:

I've seen that before...I think at Dinwiddie (Sti guy) had it in his car. Was pretty dam cool.

c'mon, so i need the itouch before i can get it?!? strange stuff, thought i download it and put it on my itouch via the pc.
oh well let the waiting begin, thanks for the input anyways cause i was searching like a crazy man on that apple website :laugh:

i ordered the 8gb version (just going for the functionality) through amazon just a few hours ago, its version 2. its a pretty good looking gizmo for sure :top:

there's a new app for the iphone thats kinda like a scangauge. it's called Rev lite. its just a free lite version of it. it hooks up to your obdII. just a heads up for you iphone users that dont have a scangaugeII yet.

Rev lite does not do the ODBII stuff. That is the full version coming out. the Rev Lite is like the Gtech. and Dynolicious..I bought that app..seems sweet but havnt got to try it yet

3. Neither Bluetooth nor USB-based serial interfaces are available to
developers from the iPhone SDK. WiFi connectivity is the only option
for inter-device communication, thus Rev depends on OBD-II WiFi
hardware. We will have some exciting news about that hardware soon.

4. Rev Lite inadvertently changes orientation when you take high-G
turns. We have a fix coming for you -- and apparently the DevToaster
engineers need to drive faster!

5. Yes, Rev will support both reading AND resetting of engine codes/
check engine lamps.


Damn Im sold! Im getting the full version when it comes out. Talk about completely wireless setup. 400 bucks is the most id spend on this tool.
