it's harder to splice..... but it can be done....

can it be turned on manually? if not then you got the power and ground wire mixed up... go from there.... that is the very first thing you should test out before wiring the rest of it.... if it doesn't turn on then that means you don't have power going to it so fix that then come back.

check all power connections and ground... including antenna. Check fuses.

Shoulda bought a harness to splice into. Check power and ground.

If that doesn't work, put the stock connector back on and spend the $8 on a harness

 sorry bro but you should not have attempted wiring it manually if you don't even know what the wires mean....

I would do this with your last comment....

Then how did you "install" it?? Just hooked up random wires to the radio?

Hopefully you didn't mess up the unit just hooking up random wires to it.

DOH I assumed you at least checked out what the stock wires were before you tried wiring it.
Hope you didn't kill the thing.

Dude just go to best buy and the the harness, the colors match up and you'll be laughing at how difficult you made it on yourself by trying to splice...

Get a toyota wire harness....personally I think the worst thing you can do is chop into a wire harness cuz that's when all the problems start. The general color code for the factory harness is different from aftermarket harnesses (I think). On the 09+ there are four wire connectors on the back of the stock radio...I dunno about the earlier models. If your lucky enough to not have cut the wires too short on the stock connector then splice them back together and get a harness and you should be fine if nothing is blown or shorted out.
