Just wanted to see if anyone else attended it. It was AMAZING!!!! We were all lucky enough to see the 2nd ONLY demonstration of the F-22 Raptor, which I am sure some of you know is the newest addition to the fighter jet family.:top: :top:

They had a flight demo of the F-22 at Andrews AFB a while back. It did some maneuvers showing its thrust vectoring capability.

What they can not demo at an airshow is the thing is what makes it so lethal, its stealth and how it can see and target anything without even opening its own eyes.

I get an air show every Sunday. I live about 2 miles from Lockheed Marietta (Dobbins ARB), where they make the F22 (at least parts of it) They are ALWAYS escorted by an F16. Freakin awesome aircraft.

Sorry to break it to ya, but that was not the 2nd only demo they have done.
It might have the 2nd demo from the East Coast Demo team outta Langley AFB, which just transitioned from the F-15 Eagle to the Raptor; but def. not the Raptor's 2nd demo. They've done demos with it for awhile, the 1st FW did one while we were on TDY to Hill AFB in Utah. Then there's Langley, Andrews, Nellis, Farnborough in the UK, etc. As far as this Crew Chief is concerned, I'll take my Eagle anyday over the Raptor. :rock
Call me old-fashioned, but I like it like that.

Lockheed Marietta is where final assembly/flight testing of the Raptor takes place.

The thing that shows how good of a pilot you are is the ability to keep the R22 from doing tricks... That is one squirly SOB.

I gave a Marine pilot a ride in an R22. He flew those big helicopters, the super stallion. He almost could not handle the R22 an announced that if you can fly the R22 you can fly anything...

Good choice. The Eagle is the only fighter that has a perfect record. 100 kills, no losses, ever.

104 - 0 actually.
Strike Eagle's have been lost during the first Gulf War. However, that was either due to pilot error or SAM's. The Strike is an awesome bomber platform, however, I am a staunch believer in "Not a pound for air-to-ground." :)

I'm a Weapons Controller (kinda like ATC) and I got to controller a couple of Raptor missions at Nellis... These aircraft are EXTREMELY lethal! Taking out F-16's left and right! :top:

I have been flying my whole life. I was in my first plane crash at 3 days old in France.

I soloed a 150 in 4 hours of training. It took many years to finish my private due to lack of funds. Then I decided to get my helicopter rating. I figured I would solo the R22 in 4 hours, boy was I wrong. That damn thing humbled me. By the time I took my check ride I could autorotate that thing onto a postage stamp.

Don't fly much these days. When I have the money, don't have the time. When I have the time, don't have the money. I did fly a B47 with turbine conversion a few months ago.
