Kinda sad, kinda happy. I installed the lock today on my brand spanking new truck. I had the hardest time trying to get that thing in. I scratched the paint :argh: installing it. I hope it isn't to deep under there. D@MN SCREWS, why they have to be so long. But the lock does cover it up. Only concern is that its not deep enough to the metal where it starts to rust. I tried my freaking hardest not to scratch the paint.

Question. Should i just let it be and pray that its ok underthere? Should I take it all apart and check how deep the scratches are?? Would have done that after i had it in but it was dark already.

just to be on the safe side, if its covered by the lock i would probabley still take it apart and apply a pretty thick coat of wax to it :top:

Take it off, if its scratched, trim the screws so it fits properly. Then touch up paint. Then reinstall it.
