I was putting my summers tires and wheels back on yesterday when I noticed this little potential issue on the rear suspension. Seems that the steel brackets that the bump stops are attatched too are in a "U" shape and they ended up being packed with road salt and sand. These must be cleaned out or else they will not only rust out the brackets but also the frame where the brackets attach. See the pics....

Ya, it's just a heads up. I don't have any rust there but thought I'd let everyone know that it's a potential issue if not taken care of....and its simple to look after so no excuse not too!

I use a lot of anti rust stuff on the underside of my truck.
So hopefully that actually makes a difference.

I noticed that there was either rust on my brakes though or something else. It's reddish, so I think it's rust. Maybe it's the brakes wearing a bit.

True that. Every time you use your brakes, you pretty much start taking off layers of metal. On both the rotors and pads. So theres nothing really to worry about.

Even IF the rust gets to a bad point, you can just replace em. You'd have to do that eventually anyways, due to normal wear and tear.
