Shift Light

I noticed a write up on shift light mod. Has anyone installed? I'm not trying to race but it looks interesting because I often accidently redline. I have no experence with these. Are they a waste or should I just pay more attention to my driving?:stupid:

There are a few of us that have shift lights.I have the proline shift light ,got it from summit for bout 50.00.only has four wires of which 2 aren't used.had toyota put mine in.one of the wires goes into a wire bundle under the passenger side dash.

Yeah heres a picture of it installed. It is a simple 3 wire installtion.
