I went with denso from toyota. Dont be surprised when you replace them - one side was ngk other was denso. When I talked to the toyota rep about ti he said the heads are put together and pre loaded with the plugs before they are bolted to the block. Seems like they could label them somehow.

Its no biggie , just thought I would give you a heads up.

Dont forget to use anti seize on your new plugs.;)

I believe its because iridium are changed every 90k instead of 30k, so they last you longer.

My 3000gt used iridium because it was such a pia to change the plugs on it because the whole intake plenum had to be removed and it took about a total of 3 hrs just to change the damn plugs.. i think iridium are suppose to be replaced every 60k

NGK and Denso are pretty close to being the same plugs. Anti seize is a lubricant for the threads of spark plugs, so it will be easier to take out on the next change. Some just use anti freeze on the threads.

if you dont like too mess with the plugs get iridium because they last longer but if it don't bug you then just stay stock they are cheaper and if you change them every 30k they will give you the same performance.

What kinda plugs where you using? Plugs should last longer than 3k, if not then you have a problem with your fuel, detonation or something. :hmmmm2:

NGK 6097's, Big single, 680cc Injectors. They were the only plug that I tried that actually gave me some form of an idle and didn't break up at high rpm (8000+)

Theoretically they should of lasted longer but after ~ 3K miles they were toasted. The car still ran fine, idle'd fine but the plugs were toast and once changed you could feel the diffrence. The 1JZ is a tricky motor when it comes to plugs.
