I emailed stoptech and they forwarded my email to these guys, here is the response:
"Payam,

We've been the world's #1 retailer of StopTech for 5 consecutive years and have worked closely with them on new product development, testing, and documentation.

The 332mm kit came as a 2-piece floating rotor with aluminum center section. To replace the outer cast iron ring ("friction ring"), you'll need a left and right AeroRotor from here: http://store.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_212_509

The caliper is the StopTech ST-40 and a wide rang of pads are available. The kit came with Axxis ULT pads, but recently StopTech has switched to their own StopTech Street Performance pads. These are the same performance as Axxis ULT with slightly less dust, less noise, and a wider temperature range. you can find these and other pads for your calipers here: http://store.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_411

If you have any other questions, feel free to call or email.

Sincerely,
David Zeckhausen

Brake Pad Installation Procedure:

Install brake pads properly. Be sure pads are securely positioned in the caliper.
Flush system with fresh brake fluid.
Check all hydraulic parts for excess wear and tear.
Check disc for proper thickness, parallelism, and lateral runout.
Check disc for scoring or grooves over .012”depth. If either applies, resurfacing is required.
If discs do not need resurfacing, then contamination from the previous brake pads must be removed. Sand discs with 130 grit sandpaper using moderate pressure. Use soap and water to clean discs’ surface after sanding and machining. Discs should be free and clear of oil, grease, and brake fluid.
Inspect calipers for freedom of movement. Lubricate where necessary.

Burnishing Instructions:

After installing new brake pads, make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.
Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph.
DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
After step 4 your new pads are ready for use.

Quote from G:

"The StopTech and TRD brakes come with the AXIS Ultimate brake pads. These pads are really AWESOME and have excellent brake performance. The down side is that they dust the wheels like spray paint.

I tried the AXXIS Delux pads. Very little to no dust but a significant reduction in brake performance.

The ones I just put in are the AXXIS ULT pads. They are a ceramic pad. The braking performance is not as good at the Ultimate pad, but much better than the Delux pad. Running them almost a week now and the dust is seems to be the same as the Delux pad.

So far so good. I think it is a good alternative to the super dusting Ultimate pad.

G"

If we can get all that info gathered in this thread, I don't see why we can't get it stickied for you. :top:

My padre is looking to get the trd bbk sometime next year but for now hes looking for a winter wheel and tire setup...

he found a good price on some 17X7.5 sport edition wheels that have a 40mm offset. Is he going to have to ditch these wheels next year if he gets the BBK?

Yes, the BBK will only fit with 18"+ wheels unfortunately. I've had a similar dilemma with my truck, I run 16" wheels in the winter but if I want a BBK I need to go back to stock wheels for the winter which would be OK, I just like having the smaller, narrow tires/wheels for the snow...

When you say the newest ones they have are you referring the the StopTech Street Performance Pads?

I found replacement rings for cheaper.
http://www.racingbrake.com/Rotor_Rings_s/3262.htm.
They say that these are a direct fit to the existing BBK hat but I am waiting to a confirmation email.

Has anyone tried these friction rings? My rotors are down below the minimum 30mm and I need to pick up a pair of these or the StopTech brand ones.

Man if I had the money that would be fine but that's just too much money in my eyes, I'd pay around $400 for really good rotors and pads for my SSBC BBK. That $850 u spent is $50 cheaper then my whole 332mm BBK

BTW Midwest that link gives people a great price drop for those with the TRD BBK, nice find brother!

Anyone know the thinnest the TRD BBK rotors can get before they must be replaced?

30mm was mentioned above, is that the limit?

It's complet left side rotor. So you still have to buy the right side. That's another $210.

The TRDs are made by Stoptech for Toyota.

Thanks for posting this! Just ordered them to replace mine. Apparently they sold them through Amazon on their web store, and Amazon posted them as a pair (Both L & R) for $195. But they were out of stock, and haven't restocked them cause Amazon screwed up. BOO! That's alright though, $210 is still a good deal!

Please let us know how this works out and if they're "easy" to swap.

I saw on their site they mention both in the description but say minimum order of 2.
I assume they are $210 each side.
