The "How to" thread.....

To thoroughly explain the tips and tricks to little goodies in a thread, lets first talk about tags.

A tag is a form of code. On VBulletin forums, we use "BB Code" which has become a very common code for forums.


Tags are very easy to work with once you understand what they do. A tag is basically a way to tell the board how you want to format a specific area.

ALL Tags must be inside brackets, and must open and close.

For example:

The close tag has the / inside. Don't forget it!

That is how I would make that sentence show up in bold text, as shown below.

This sentence is bolded.

That is an example of using a "B" tag.

Images are placed in a post the same way.
Images use an "IMG" tag

That is how I would display the picture that is in that location on the internet like below:

To post multiple pictures in a thread is the same thing, just with a carriage return in between, like this:

By doing that, we get this:

Important note:
Don't forget to hit enter between your pictures, or they will come out next to eachother.

Now that we know how to use our "tags", here is a list of a whole bunch of them to use as you please:

Upload you images to www.photobucket.com and just copy the IMG code and paste it in the post.

You can upload your picture here in the photo gallery or use another hosting site like www.photobucket.com etc...

Once the pic is uploaded and you are viewing it from the hosting site, you right click on it, go to properties and copy the location url for it.

To insert it in the post you select this button thats on the toolbar

, a pop up window will come up and enter the location url that you obtained earlier from your pic on the hosting site and hit enter. When you have finished your post and click submit your pic should display in the body of it. I typed this up in like a minute, so if i missed anything please let me know. :top:
