So I really want to get my windows tinting. But I'm hesitant about it because I keep seeing these cars that have crappy tint. It's purplish-blue and bubbly. was it just what they did or will all tint turn out this way eventually?

Get good tint, and no problem.
Ask your tinit guy for LLumar or 3M. I choose 3M, it seems to be a little better then LLumar, but either one will not turn purple, and will not bubble if the install guy is worth a crap.

if it is bluish purpleish...and bubbly, that usually means that they did it themselves or took it to someone who didn't know what they were doing.

also, do not clean the tint with ammonia based products as it will turn the film purple

Isn't there a difference in the actual tint itself? Like the high end places I've looked at use ceramic tint where the lower end shops tend to use dyed film. The guys at the high end shops say the ceramic tint doesn't fade and turn purple over time and back it with a lifetime warranty. They said the lower end dyed tint tends to go purple over time due to the UV light. I don't know if what they said is true or not:dontknow:

The shop I am going to get my tint done at uses FormulaOne Ultimate Series Tint. FormulaOne has a wide variety of metallic and ceramic tint that never changes color. You pay more than you would for the dyed film tint but with this the color always stays the same and you have a lifetime warranty on the tint and labor. I rather pay more and do it once, then pay little and do it over again. I'm fed up of bubbling purple tint. Two of the cars I have owned had tint that did this. This time I'm doing it right the first time in the truck.

Tint with pearl hint to it kinda like the sparks shine off the SWB truck but in dark tint, you ever played Need for Speed Underground they offer it as a option in the game. I understand its a video game but thought if anyone has ever heard of that or not?

I know there's a mirrored tint. Is that what you are talking about?
