Does anyone have any experience with the Trd exhaust? It seems like no one has it installed on their truck.
I was just wondering how it sounded and if it will increase performance.
Thanks

It won't fit the X-Runner. My dad has it on his truck and it doesn't sound all that great anyway.

Oh ok
I guess that might be why no one has it on their truck
Thanks

Lol yeah probably. You can also check out the Magnaflow system, the URD system, and the JBA system, or you can always just change out your muffler.

Im running the TRD exhaust on my XR, it fits perfectly but you have to extend the tip out about 3.5inches to match the bodykit. Im running it with my two rear cats bypassed and straight piped and love the sound. Its a smooth , deep and tuned sound, its pretty loud combined with the straight pipe and im happy with it ;) it also looks great !.

These pictures are of the two rear cats bypassed and straight piped pretty much creating the same thing as the URD Y-pipe

why does this trd catalog say that there isnt an exaust for the x-runner?

Its not made for the XRunner, its the exact same exhaust for the extended cab Tacoma except the tip isnt designed to stick out pass the bodykit, all i did was take it to a friend and have him extend the tip out 3.5inches to clear the body kit and show off the pretty tip with engraved TRD logo :top:

found out something intresting. I went to the dealership to check out the Tundra. Frickn thing is big. Anyway, i was speaking to a friend who works there and he was telling me that the exhaust on our X's are TRD. They are installed at the factory, WITHOUT the "TRD" stamp on the tip. He said that a manager purchased a TRD exhaust when he noticed that the muffler and piping and tip is exactly the same as on the X. They just dont put the stamp on the tip. Anyone have any idea's on this?

Yes, toyota puts on a different exhaust at the factory but, the muffler is smaller on the TRD exhaust that "shook" has.
