Alright...had the s/s in for about 2 weeks now. LOVING IT!!! Should have done it along time ago. Anyhow...for those of you who have it (which is most of you I am guessing) when you push the shifter while in gear...does it just slip into neutral without you pressing the clutch? Is this normal? It still works perfectly fine but was just wondering if I should be worried or not.

Every vehicle I have ever driven will come out of gear if you just push it... Keep in mind, that if you are accelerating, there is a load on the transmission, and it should not be able to "slip" out of gear.
If you are not putting it under a load, it should come out of gear without the clutch fairly easily...

Now...
remember, some people had problems with thier trucks "popping" out of gear mid acceleration. If that is the case, Toyota has been replacing transmissions....

Its normal to be able to push or pull the tranny out of gear without the clutch. Hell I learned how to shifted mine without a clutch and not grind gears.

I'd have to say that I too love the SS although sometimes I grind second(when racing), but I just need more practice shifting smoother, all in all great shifter.

A mechanic put the LSD additive into the gear oil in my truck, haven't grinded once since then.
