Anybody able to weigh your stock xr wheel and stock bridgestone. I know the bare xr wheel weigh 32lbs just wondering how much more weight the tire adds. Thanks to whoever replies.

When I shipped out my XR wheels they weighed 34lbs a piece boxed up. That was according to the post office scale. Jonathan has told me the bare stock wheel weighs 32lbs.

the set up should be roughly 62 lbs. mine stock rims weighed just over 31lbs each, and the tires are 32lbs. the only way to make 100% sure is weigh a brand new rims and tire. tire can shed over 5 lbs within its lifespan.

i dont have a new spare, but my buddy does. ill go yank it off right now, just for sake of this thread. plus, i just weighed my new rim tire combo last night too, curious to see it on the same scale.

BRB!!

edit-

it seems bridgstone tire weight might be wrong. the stock combo is 59 lbs. i know the wheels are very close to 31-32 (just saying for variance of scales) since i had two bare wheels shipped to me.

on the other hand, my wheels were claimed to weigh 28 lbs per axis, and the tires 32 per falken. my tire combo set up is just under 61 lbs. go figure.

Thanks Jonathan. I was just asking to see how much weight I will be saving when I put the RX8 Wheels on my truck. My brand new spare bridgestone and my current 18x9.5 wheel weigh in at 64lbs. The RX8 wheel weighs right at 22 lbs. So 22 + 32 = 54. I will be cutting about 40 pounds of unsprung weight from my truck. That should easily cut 2-3 seconds off my 0-60 time. ( I wish). Thanks Again.

sweet! that should be noticeable. on the other hand, my drag tires, which are a inch smaller OD, and weigh 25 vs 32 lbs, still isnt enough for my butt o meter to tell.
