I agree with the water, maybe if I'm really energenic I will scrub with car wash soap. I always loved cleaning cars but the X can be a pain to wash.

I like using simple green on rubber products but would test before doing the whole mat.

If you're going to use an APC, Dilute it enough so it won't damage the rubber (fade/discolor it) Then dress it with something like 303 or anything similar :top:

Someone suggested Westly's Bleche-wite tire cleaner. I tried simple green but it doesn't get it black it just gets it clean.

Tried a small spot and it seems to get it black again. I will do the whole mat over the weekend and see what happens.

Daughter got me a "Mr. Clean" car washer for Dad's day. it really works well. Uses Mr. Clean soap and then has filters for a final wash so you do not get water spots. Works really well. First you set for soap and soap and water come out and you was the Truck, then a setting for washing the soap off and then last a fine spray and you do not have to dry the truck.... Larry

Hello All,

Ive just been messin around with some cleaners and the bed mat and I still haven't found anything the works better then the "Honda Spay cleaner/ Polish". I started with a clean mat (used soap and water, then let dry) and then sprayed the cleaner directly on the mat and they rubbed off. It cleans and protects against fading and cracking. Drys very clean without a slimy residue. Take a look for yourselves!

Water and soap alone

Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner is a complex formula that cleans, penetrates and rejuvenates vinyl and rubber surfaces. Durable protection that screens out damaging UV rays. Restores life and color. Leaves a rich, natural sheen, unlike the shiny synthetic coating of simple protectants

Have been using this for years, Professional Series, works much better than the off the shelf crap they sell at those big dept stores :top:
