Got my trd bbk about 6 months after i got the truck.Unaware @ the time that SOS performance had come out with a rear disc conversion kit.found SOS from a conversation with Bob Gardner @ TRD one of his long time friends owns the shop in Panama City,Florida. I called Tom Watts then ordered the kit . I know I was the first and only Xr in o.p. to have all four corners covered with discs. I had alot of attention as people would stop by and ask about em.

I have no frame of reference as I bought my X with the TRD BBK. I have been very happy with their performance thus far, though they have developed a squeak after 3500 miles that I will get diagnosed.

if/when i can afford it, i'll be getting the Rotora 355's with 6 pot calipers... they'll work much better when i start going up to Willow Springs or Buttonwillow

anything but stock. i have the stock ones but really really need an upgrade. im usually kind of last minute on my brakes so going 105-0 isnt really fun most of the times.

by the way i think that the trd bbk is in fact the stoptech bbk.......

Yeah I've heard good things about the TRD kit and I believe the Stop Tech is very similiar. Not too many votes yet on the Rotora i guess since not many people have it...I feel the brakes on the X are pretty mushy but will do until i get the funds

they are IDENTICAL except for the name, one says trd on stoptech....stoptech makes them both.

EBC Yellow pads on stock brakes about 2 months. They take a little to warm up, maybe one decent normal stop. Then they are maybe 5% better. But when they get hot, i didnt think they would throw me forward so hard. They should work very well when I am towing. Rear brakes on a pickup, basically useless unless you are racing(feel), or you are always towing(fade resistance). They have a bit more brake dust than the stock pads though.

I gotta say the Rotora 6 pot 355 kit. That thing looks hot and the price really isn't that bad for being a 6-pot caliper. If or when I have that kind of cheese I will be looking into that setup for sure.

i know i want to get the TRD kit but dont know why i prefer it over the Stoptech, im sure theyre both great and of course... alot better than stock. i guess its because i like to stick with TRD products because they specialize in making performance parts for Toyota :top: cant go wrong with that
