why a Y pipe?

try this instead of the Y pipe and get better performance.using jba headers,stock cats,and a magnaflow #12588 dualinlet /3"exhaust .checkit out:

bc you current Y pipe is very restrictive, have you looked at it? your exhaust will only flow as well as the smallest part IE the weakest link.

Promised to post the pics (since the install). I think this new forum is just right for it. First picture the stock Y pipe, second the URD Y pipe. Should be clear the URD pipes are way less restrictive as Jon already stated.

I had considered doing this with a dual 2.25 in, single 3in out flowmaster 50series suv/sport truck muffler.

lets get some sound clips

if i would have done dual i would have one exiting going left and one right. not both to a single muf. by the way that diameter of the 2 pipes looks kind of small!
i still need to get a sound clip, it will be with my finepix f10....so i doubt the quality will do it right.

THE #12588 WHICH IS PICTURED IS 2.5" INLET 3" OUTLET.CHECK THE SITE.:cool: THE SOUND IS SWEET CHECK WITH XROBBER HE'S HEARD IT.

what is that thing with the red sticker in front of the gas tank?

Hey Dog, Is it much louder then stock? I was planning on doing the same thing but I dont want the truck much louder then it is at a constant speed throttle position.

As it is the amount of time I spend at 75-80mph the stock system can start to get a lil loud unless you are really light on the pedal.

Looks good!

Not sure but wouldn't there be more gains if there was a x-pipe or an h-pipe in this setup?

I have the urd with a short magnaflow and i love it. It pretty loud from half to wot. Get a lot of compliments and turns alot of heads.:biggrin:
