XR-U Logo Poll (round 2)

It looks like option 2 was by the far the winner in the previous poll:

But, listening to some of the opinions from the previous poll I have made some modifications to the logo that most of you chose to see if it could still be improved upon. Take a look through each of the attachments and see what you think.

I also threw in two slightly more grungy versions of the logo just for kicks. The very last attachment (grunge) I uploaded at a larger size so that you could see some of the detail that doesn't show up in the smaller versions. On a sticker you would get more detail due to high resolution printing.

I like number 1 the best. Simple and straight to the point. I don't like how the yellow block for the "R" I am guessing? is off centered in the others. Definitely number 1 for me. :top:

There is a possibility that we'll use the original logo still. I'm just throwing out options to get feedback. I've added an option to the poll to leave the logo as the original.

ok use the orginal one but for the XR use the writing you have on the last one

What does the yellow bar stand for? Is the dash between the R-U. If it is then you should put it in the middle of the R and U. Just my 2cents on the subject:dontknow:

Actually, all of the logos have had that carbon fiber in the background. But when I scale it down (from sticker size) - it gets anti-aliased (or blurred) to the point where you can't see it any longer. After we decide on a logo I can make a screen res version that looks close to the same - but I'll save that work for the end.

I agree, sorta. I like how the original is, but make it grunge and add the lettering on the bottom.

That was originally the plan. But, the new logo is causing some problems:

1. It's nearly impossible to recreate it at screen resolution (what you see at the top of the website) and keep it looking like the original. That's why the new header does not have the background behind it with the glossy carbon fiber.

2. Because of the amount of effects on the logo - it doesn't look as good in blue or red. If I can find a way to recreate the effect and keep it looking true, then yes there will be multiple colors. That was the original plan.

3. I've speced out some t-shirt designs and I feel they look better without the black glossy background.

So... I'm on the fence about how to move forward with the logos - but I'll get it straightened out. :top:
