He sent me an email said he would sell me the Molds for $600. I ended up trading my panels with someone else so no need for the mold now.

I have a set of these, that I could be persuaded to part with. Shipping to Canada would be expensive.

Has anyone thought to contact a vendor such as taco tunes to see if they may be interested in buying the molds and putting them back into production?

Due to the cu ft. size of the enclosure, you are going to probably stay with a 10" subwoofer.

I know this is a old post but, I like these door panels...where could i get a set and, if anyone has them installed...how is the rattling issue with the rear door?

They were made by xtreme kreations, but they no longer make them. You will have to be lucky enough to find a used set, or have somebody make you up something custom.

As for the rattling I sound deadened everything up really good when I did mine and have no issues with the doors rattling.

It's seems that if people have been able to make wooden boxes and sell them that someone would be able to do this on the side as well.

There is a LOT more involved in these panels than a box.

But that should be reflected in the price . If a person can figure out how to maximize the amount of materials needed to make a group of them they could setup a group buy for that amount. I'm not thinking anyone would make money off of this but you think that someone in the Taco world would have fiberglass skills and time necessary.

1) I don't know if the molds are even available anymore (this was years ago)

2) Why would someone take on this type of project not to make any money?

Do you understand the type of time and effort something like this requires? These things ran for $500+ shipped for a pair, the materials (outside of the molds) run no more than $50. They're all labor, if you can find someone to fab these up for nothing :allhail:

I am a rubber/plastic manufacturing technician that makes seals and valve covers for GM, Chrysler, and Ford...If the molds in fact did still exist somewhere I might be able to do some good with them..that is if they did still exist...we couldn't be so lucky though.
