Ordered a shell for mine last week.

Might be blasphemy for some here but I bought my X to use as a work truck.

If I have to haul my tools and supplies to a jobsite, might as well have fun doing it.

I bought an XR specifically to haul motorcycles. I could have used a standard Taco, but I really like the XR look.

Used to leave mine in the garage and only use it for long trips or small fun. Didn't want to rack up miles on it. The beater truck has problems so I was forced to use the X for commuting. Put a couple thousand miles on it recently and will roll over 10,000 miles by the end of this tank of gas. Just left my old job and started a new business so no more commuting so I can put it back into the garage. But I had to use it as a truck this weekend. The wife and I are opening a beer store/tap room, our liquor license is approved, and the local parade goes right in front of our store, so we were open during construction selling pints so people could come in and ask questions.

Any time you are in the Seattle area. I'm thinking of having a 10% off day if you show up driving an X.

I know this is digging up an old thread but WTH... I have used my truck for all sorts of truck-type things, even since the DJM drop.

  • Hauling a double jet ski trailer
  • Mulch (2 scoops)
  • Landscaping blocks (30 per trip)
  • Lumber
  • Just did 4 sheets of 4x8 OSB this weekend
  • Rented a professional grade stump grinder with trailer
  • Luggage (why I bought the tonneau cover)
  • Trees (for planting)
  • Furniture
  • Beer
  • Good times

A car isn't for me. As long as I can afford to replace the blown motors, poor transmission and keep up with the failing paint - I'll probably keep this truck for a long time. Washed it today and putt my Varr's back on and it was still getting looks driving around town --- 7 years old. :top:

I helped a buddy move to base housing after he got married. I forgot a couple times I even had anything back there lol. I love the torque of the X.

Mine has a hitch under it and used to pull a 12' and a 20' flat deck trailer almost daily. Box is used for all sorts, but no open dirt or mulch or anything. Ladders, wood, transporting/moving furniture and what not.
