Hey peeps, gonna do the RegCab XR mod :rockon::rockon:

Just ordered the body kit (unpainted) with the fasteners and moldings (18 pieces) from www.visracing.com (nice body kit site so check it out). The whole body kit with fasteners shipped to Oahu, HI (96825) costed me ~1700. The fiberglass pieces are unpainted.

Here is a picture of the truck now:

planning on painting the body kit spoilers black to match with the whole silver-black trim thing.

Any suggestions or disagreements with the color of body kit spoilers? Post em up!

-Nyles

Those exhaust tips belong on a Diesel.... Now that I think about it more, they dont even belong on a Diesel truck...

It makes me cringe when I look at your truck.

Your truck will look sick with the body kit on there. I'd suggest a single color myself. A silver reg. cab XR would look bad ass.

I think the exhaust tips are a little overboard myself also, just my opinion.

regular cab tacomas come only in 4cylinder engines...but it would be sweet to have a 6cyl in a regcab...I would've though the 4x4 regcab would come with a v6 but it comes with a v4

:hahaha: LOL @ V4... I hope you didn't think we were gonna let THAT slide, buddy.

well, after a nice long weekend and a few days after...here is what I have done so far...the RegCab XR is coming to life...

few questions:
1) I kind of like the look of the bolts sticking out (maybe gonig to cover it with something else later) and I would rather stick to that instead of shaving it off and making it smooth like the XR body kit...what do you all think?

2) I like the black look
lol.gif
anybody likes it?

3) Should I leave the back two bumper pieces off? I kind of want to so you can see my coffee cans

gonna be working on smoothing it all out now, oh and btw...the kit DIDN'T come with the fasteners and clips, thus why I am using the bolts!

I am open to suggestions for anything

I'm sorry I have to say this. That's SO ghetto looking its not even funny. Why on earth would you use bolts and drill into the truck? The flares have the area to screw them into the fender liner underneath them. You could of also just gone and got all the mounting hardware for the side skirts from toyota or could of made your own out of some aluminum. Also when you shortened the skirts did you join them just using bondo and nothing else?

:hmmmm2: wow.... If you like it that's all that matters bro :top:

Personally I would take it back off fill in the wholes and get the mounting brackets for a clean look....

Like I said man,, it's your truck so if you're diggin it than props bro....
