TRD vs URD

Has anyone with a trd supercharger ever ran and beat a truck with a urd supercharger? Not trying to bash on the URD but doesn't seem like there are many trds pushin the limits out there.

I think Toyota is pretty conservative in it's approach, where Gadget lets you decide how far you want to go.

There are a good amount of people that have pretty much maxed out what the trd supercharger can do, or at least to the point that it will cost so much for a tiny bit more power and it wouldn't be worth it. The biggest problem with the trd is once you start trying to make huge numbers with it the heat generated starts working against you.

I watched the guy from Delaware now lives in FL blow the doors off of Murderface about 6 times in one day. I think that guy is WallasX.

Yeah that was him, also beat the crap out of a 6.0 gto a bunch of times. As for the URD getting walked by the trd, I know which one that was and there was a very big driver mod advantage on that one lol

Yea like i said I didn't know the details haha. But I'll stick with my big power turbo set ups. Even tho they are powered by Urd!

Well there was that one time I drove 1,500 miles, installed a basically stock trd s/c, did one warm up pass down the 1/4, then smoked Butters mrk3 set up....

Other then that rare occasion where driverskill exceeded pocket book depth, the urd mrk2/3 will more then likely beat a trd in a straight line.

Werty's URD MK3 kit is in Calgary now. It belongs to Hiflyer who will have it installed in his double cab. :canada:

The truck just lost 20lbs in new rims....that should give me an extra 1 1/2 hp or less traction...ha

I always thought that his truck ran better than most of the TRDs I rode in. That is a good running truck.

Yes, we can do a more aggressive tune, but you will be trading off reliability and durability.
