I found a good deal on winter tires.
the size is 255/65/R18. the plan would be to put them on my stocks for the winter.
will they fit though?
to my knowledge, im NOT lowered in anyway.

that tire will be 31.1"s stock tires are 27"
thats a big jump

a 225/50/18 would be 26.9"

narrower is better for snow

That's four inches total. I'll say no. You could do 245/55-18

This the Skinner tire would be better than a taller tire!

You don't have a bbk so they will fit as they come on steelies, if you can't afford $700 I would just park the truck and take a cab....

Rubber is the only contact with the road... We don't get the snow we used to but quality rubber pays bra.

I wouldn't run 255/65 but it will "work" just rub a shit ton....

What's the deductible on your insurance. Deductible $$ versus snow tires $$. I found my tires and rims on Kijiji. Paid 250 for mags and 350 for Toyo tires. The way they drive around this town, I want snow tires

By the time you have winters installed on the rims and removed in the spring, 25.00 a wheel. You've spent 200.00 by the spring. Get tires and rims set, you change them when you need to.

My point is silly is that if your not running or going to run a BBK why pay for 18" rubber when you can run 16 steelies with good rubber for half the price....

I am currently looking a blizzaks from tire rack for $700 for the stockers, dang good price.... BUT I have to get that size due to my BBK.... I can't recall off hand what size 16's I ran before I'll have to look it up....

what's BBK?

and are you saying that buying steelies AND 16" tires is cheaper tha just buying 18" tires?
because from what i'm seeing on kijiji, that is NOT the case.

nvm...big brake kit...duh!

Did you find a set bro? I have been keeping an eye on kijiji and came across some sweet deals on Pirelli and conti's in stock size.
