3" is the max you can go without notching the frame, BUT you will bottom out A LOT.
One of the local guys here has 3" in the back.. it looks real cool, but he bottoms out all the time..

I have 3" blocks and adjustable airsprings. I bottom out untill about 20 psi but that will raise me back up to where the 2" blocks would put me. Nice for when its parked and taking pictures.

My advice...knowing the roads here in Hawaii, just go with the 2" blocks. Just to be safe. Bottoming out SUCKS!!!

3" in the back is waaay to low...trust me. You'll bottom out on everything. And i mean everything. With the 2" blocks in the rear, i bottom out constantly. I want to notch the frame, but another part of me doesn't

Agreed. Im seriously considering ditching my drop (front & rear) to run a 1" block in the back. I can't stand how easy the truck bottoms out. Oh do I miss the days when I had shocks I could revalve.

I have 1.5" blocks and bottom out at least once a day:thumpdown:
I also shaved the bump stop to about 1/4"
