350z kill.

just killed a 350z going down the I-8 in SD. 2 people in each car. i kept looking over while slyly cruising in 4th gear. kept stairing each other down then they hit it i down shifted and put 3-4 car lengths on the Z till about 120 then they started to inch and i hit the governor at 125 and hit the breaks. Hazards flashing the whole way.

... you beat a 350z and your not even s/c? he must have not been on top of it. The bottom class 350 is 287 hp stock. Good kill though if it was a fair fight.

a 350z is capable of running a high 13 stock, which is where a boosted XR usually starts at.

3-4 car lengths form a 3rd gear roll.... he wasn't trying. Looking at your mod list, I would guess he wasn't racing, and you took off. Then a few moments later decided wth, or was trying to be cute and race without dropping gears.

Sorry bud, no offense, but I wouldn't count that as a kill.

I highly doubt those 13.1s are stock..... I call bs on that one..... that is over a second faster than a "stock" 350z..... that means that 350z can beat a 370z...... I highly doubt that.....

Even the best drivers can't improve 7 mph in a trap...... that's quite a huge difference.... really hard to believe..... that's like saying our xrunner stock is capable of a 14.2.... and that is our best N/A modded time.....

but i'm with you on 350z vs N/A Xrunner.... I had stage 4 clutch, Alu Fid Fly, Headers, CBE, Intake and my buddy in his 350z would pull me all day..... even with a tune I didn't see myself catching him..... it would just be a lot slower pull....

lol i can hear the car down shift next to me and punch it. slightly down hill. top end they start to catch but at 80 roll in 3rd gear. the X is a monster. you can talk all u want about this and that/ i know i pulled away for a while 3-4 care lengths from 80-125 then the gap started to close. i hit it after they did and i pulled away but as i was pulling away all that time the gap grew slower and slower till it started to go the other way. ive drove a 350 there nothing special a X can keep up if not pull in certain gear/mph

that means he was auto and a lot heavier. so I can see you keeping up with him.... not getting 3-4 lenghts on him..... I was dead even with my buddy's convertible auto 350z.... we stayed bumper to bumper the whole time

if it has a 6 speed non-convertible you will see how quickly it pulls away.... try and race that one and come back with that story....

why so many haters. cant be happy a X took out a 350z. i been around racing all my life and cars. my dad had a 9 second camaro and now sporting a 10 second el camino that is california street legal. I know what a car sounds like when there pin'd. Big deal a X beat a 350z in a 80-120 punch before starting to catch the X. cant be happy that the X runners are showing ppl whats up.

and Xrunnits post thats completely BS. my Best Friend had a 2006 gto with 6.0 and a 6 speed and we raced alot of g35's 350z and even a few vets. and it would create gaps all day long on g35 and 350z's like a joke. vet was different thats understood. but gto ran 13.0 and his best e/t 12.93 OEM parts. 350 isnt going to pull a 13.1 deffinently after driving one and smoking them in other cars that run 13.0 range.

even my road and track from 2005 says the 350Z runs 14.1 and id say that difference between the X and the 350z stock to stock would be traction of the line. and yea might be a bit faster. but from what ive seen racing them yeah they are faster. but all depends on the hit.

when we were getting ready to take off. they down shifted a gear and gave it some gas i gave it some in fourth and as soon as the nose of the Z lifted i floor'd and down shifted. i was in it to win it.

...this used to be my 350Z and this is my XR. Owned both and drove them like i stole 'em.
Having said that, stock for stock is childish (to say the least) to compare the two. Why would you anyway, they are part of totally dif. categories. But if documents and magazine articles is all that's needed to proove anything, nobody would have to modify and race anything anymore. Any given article will tell you the best time you can do in the 1/4 mile in any given car/truck. None so far that i've read, give you the worse time you can do and everything in between. And that my friends, is where driver input (a fairly important part to say the least) comes into play. That is why numerous drivers in less potent cars, beat drivers in far better ones any given day. And it seems to have been the issue in this posting here, nothing wrong with it. We should give credit where it's due.
Congrats on the kill, though i will say this: that day, that driver, that Z...i wouldn't run to the bank that you'll be beating Zs all day long,if i were you, if you know what i mean.
