went to irwindale today (1/8th mile).

only got two runs before it got rained out. previous best was 9.8 at 77 mph in the 1/8 so at least i beat that. i know it had high 8's in it, but track was terrible. there was literally like 6 cars who blew oil everwhere, and they cleaned the track like every 3 passes because of it.

anyways, slip looks like this

60' 2.15
1/8 9.02
mph 80.2

here is a little vid of my first run, didnt get the other one.

Nice numbers. I wonder what that would run through a quarter?

Very nice. You get that 1/8 mile into the 8's and you'll be in the 13's for sure for the 1/4!

Just guessing but a 9.0 sec 1/8 is USUALLY around 14.0

yes, this is right. the MPH is a little high though, most 80mph cars run in the 13's. with a better launch i think i could have hit 8.8, which is a solid 13.

there was an 04 lightning there, ran a best of 9.2 at 79

Yep. an 8.8 should put you around a 13.7-13.8 area. But your right, if your hitting 81-82 at that 1/8 trap you may in fact be closer to a 13.6-13.7

Yeah I was gonna say if you had a good conditioned track (no oil) you would probably be running high 13.7-13.9 in the quarter with that 1/8th mile time a little lower. Very nice.

Bring on some more boost!!!!

So figure you run about:

0-60 MPH: 4.6 Seconds
1/8th: 8.7 - 8.9
1/4: 13.7-13.9

Under good conditions. Very nice Jon I am happy to see this. I think we are in the 13s man; TRD BLOWER FTW!

With more boost I think a 1/4 mile of mid to lower 13s is not out of the question!

Ya a lightning (with a good driver) should be running 8.8-8.9 in the 1/8 and about 13.7 in the 1/4. With that being said, and supposing he was a good driver and the track conditions in the state that they were in...THEORETICALLY we could almost assume that Jon could have ran an 8.7 - that would put him around say 13.5ish...

:hmmmm2: Maybe there is too much though going into this. It might be safer if we just sit back and wait. :top:
