It's a popular exhaust with the six luggers, done here much with them on the xrunners and it may be the end section of the tailpipe doesn't meet the body kit cut out.

Yeah the guy at Afe said something about that. Not exactly sure what he was referring to. If it's just the tip I'll cut off and use my stock one or find something

You can always look at JBA or Magnaflow.

I would then recommend the TRD it will be the closet to stock but should free up the exhaust flow. The tip will be a little recessed but it is almost the exact placement as the stock exhaust. AFE will be louder than the TRD.

Trd is not 3" though. I want 3". Why is the Y pipe only 2.5 piping ?

Just got a full Afe 3" catback for $240 brand new. For that price I'll give it a try
