I've got a 4-spd auto 4Runner, so bear with me. 
Sometimes during a launch, the tranny will stall at 2k or so for a couple seconds, and then the truck will finally get the power and start getting up to speed. Does anyone familiar with auto transmissions and torque converters know why that happens, and if it is possible to fix it? It's killing so much time on the line due to that.
