Don't you have to have a Helmet to compete?

I'm gonna try my best to make it out there this week :top:.

Driving to Bremerton from Granite Falls is a couple hour drive at least .

I don't think I'll be competing but it would be fun to watch none the less!

yeah come on out and see how it all goes down, Ill be there all day. they have plenty of loaner helmets on hand, I havent bought a helmet yet so I use a loaner. They just hold your drivers licence as colateral, no biggie. Grab a loaner helmet and you can ride shotgun with me during my runs and we can get you a ride in say a viper, lotus, porche. Some people come out just to go for rides.

if you need directions or anything I can PM you my cell.

What does it mean "Limited to members of WWSCC-affiliated clubs only"? I'm not in any club but I would like to check it out. What all do they check with the tech inspection? Would they DQ you for a CEL? I've always been interested in autocross but never had a chance to get into it.

I'll check into the "limited to members thing". Im not a member that I know of but I ran the last event pre-registered with no problem.

As far as tech goes CEL is not on thier checklist. They check your battey tie down, wheel bearings and lug nuts, throttle cable(which doesnt apply to us), no loose items in the cab, sometimes they give me flak about the driver floormat but its clipped down with two hooks so they dont care, if you bring a helmet they check the snell or DOT rating.

I would think any xrunner would pass tech. Autocross is fun as hell. the first time i went for a ride along I was like holy **** this is how people really push a car to its limits. Come on out and ride along or spectate and decide if you want to get into it.

its been cold as hell lately and just hoping it doesnt rain.

AUTOX FTW!!!!!

As it is.. I've only seen BSP's autox, BSP's and RR drift (mostly RR), and no SWB in any course type events. Represent!

Can't wait to see pics and vids of a SWB hugging them corners. :driver:

Remeber, in the X.. brake early and keep close to the corners. :top:

brake early in a straight line

Late braking push to the firewall and l the ABS do the work and don't let up

get lined up and stay tight for sloloms

smoother is faster, you are carrying 3600lbs so you cant jerk it

stock rubbers pumpem up, fronts 44psi backs 48 seems to give good responce

( my -2.4 camber made an amazing difference):top:

Ive got some vids ill see if i can post them

I'll have to see what the week brings, but I really want to get into it. Try to get some pics so if I don't make it, I'll be too jealous to not go next time. Good luck to those who go.:top:
