wqhy does your sig say 1.9, you said it was a 2.1 or 2.0 i believe on that run, im in the process of looking for slicks, any info or advice for looking for some decent slicks right now its perfect weather in cali. info on size or brand thx
1.9 is my best.
da was ~-1091 on that run. no reduction. temps were in the mid/low 40s:rockon:
Dang.. I could only imagine my truck with slicks and a -1000' DA... Doubt I'll ever see that though. :adore:
13.70... :eviltongue: :wink::biggrin:
well my last run with a 768' da had a corrected time of 13.70, so your probably not too far off.
Awesome DA + boost = very little difference I.R.L. .... :thumpdown: :laugh:
whats da? got me lost there
DA = Density Altitude
Weather conditions greatly affect drag racing. The Density Altitude will help indicate how good/poor the air is for racing, and is computed from the physical altitude, temperature, barometer, dew point, etc.
Las Vegas is one of the more brutal examples of this - although our physical altitude is only 2100' at LVMS, the hot/dry air pushes the density altitude over 6000' in the summertime. Almost everyone who moves from a sea level location to Las Vegas is completely shocked when they see their first timeslip, on average an N/A vehicle will run .7-1.0 slower here.
wow nasty how could i figure out my da?
