CF Hood Carbon Creations VS VIS

Ok guys,

I Finally have the $$$ for a CF Hood. But would like to get the best deal on one.
AndysAutoSports Carries Carbon Creations for $560 plus shipping or VIS for $687 plus shipping.
On Ebay, I found from Wings West a VIS Hood for $737 shipped.

Does anyone have any input?

Go with vis. Alot stronger than tha carbon creations.
Its cheaper for a reason.

I can't find any cf hoods for the 2012 or 13. Does anybody know where I can get one?

Try swapping with a local member, that has an older model. If they both swap just fine, then you know the CF will fit.

Factory hood is about 50lbs. VIS hood is ~18lbs

12/13 models have different hoods than the 05-11

didnt see where you mentioned if you were gonna paint it or leave cf.

if leaving cf, go ahead and have a good quality uv resistant clear sprayed on it...i know some brands turn yellow after a while.

Or flake off like mine has. Mine has quite a few years on it though.

Anything really. I am going to get mine repainted the factory color with a good clear over it.
