Did some desert shooting

Went out to Palm Springs for the weekend for some rest and recreation. Some friends and I made it out to the BLM land and did some target practice. Was a lot of fun even though I've got a bad farmer's tan now:ahhhhh:

Here's the spot, it's a river wash leading out to a popular 4x4 trail.

Someone left behind a metal chair from previous target practice so we had at it on top of our paper targets and clay targets.

This was what we were working with.

Nope it's BLM public land so it's legal to shoot there. You have to be careful though bc nearby is state park land which is illegal to shoot on.

It was a lot of fun. This was my first time shooting my new rifle plus it was nice having some freedom and not having people up your back all the time like when you are at the range.
