What kind of grease to use on the door hinge. Its the black plastic one i believe that limits the throw of the door. I got a door thats dried up and it needs some.

I use the white lithium in a spray can. Easy to get it into the crevices in the hinges.

White lithium works, but I always use DuPont Teflon Spray. Goes on like wd40. Soaks in and dries. Teflon stays behind after it dries providing slick surface. Works great and stays put for long periods of time. I have a one finger activated handle on my tailgate. Probably only spray the latch hinge and plates about 1-2 times a year. Before I started using it, I had to slam it shut all the time. Night and day difference.

When I worked in a dealership we used white lithium in a spray can. It worked well but it looked sloppy on dark colors. Now I use a few drops of bicycle chain lube on the pivot points.
