acoording to the specs 6th gear maxed out will bring us to 165 mph, but our vehicle spped sensor ( sensor that reads speed :biggrin will only read up to 155 mph. I will try to find out the spec shhet where I saw thisOk, now say it in english :dontknow:

With our super short first gear,,,,,,, a 3.73 rear end would just about eliminate the need for using first gear. You would end up with a first gear that's good for like 25 mph! A 3.42 - 3.55 would be the highest I'd suggest if those ratios are available.
Agree but i dont think there is a 3.55 gear available until an aftermarket company starts turning them out (hint hint)The 3.73s however are readily available on pre-runners and can be had from the stealership for about 1000 :frown:Yes first will be quick but the benefits in the mid range would be worth it :biggrin: 2nd through forth would just be crazy hard pulling.:rock::rock:If I had the bones I would try to get some 3.73 and see if they will bolt to carrier and locker.Talked to tech who said as far as he knows they are the same 8 inch carrier:dontknow::dontknow:
