Filling in the exhaust cutout on the ground effect

Ive had my exhaust cut and dumped in front of the axle so i would like to fill in the cutout on the ground effects piece...has anybody done this before and like to share some tips?

Shouldn't be too hard...sand it down...tape off the cut out from the outside, lay some fiberglass from the inside....sand/bondo accordingly

thanks guys..from what i can see she cutout a filler piece from an extra piece and bonded it into the cutout...pretty good idea too
