After searching and searching for months now for a winter vehicle...I finally found a 1991 Toyota 4Runner with the 22R-E with 330,000km...all original. To top it off it's red!!!!! No rust on the body whatsoever other than a small bubble on the tailgate! I'll post more pics tmrw!

You found a 2nd Gen in Canada with no rust??

How is that possible?

I can see if it was stored for a long time, but with those miles, that thing was driven.

Maybe the guy had an indoor track and only recently put those miles on it:laugh:

if its from north of 60* then it should be rust free as i have a friend that lives in yellow knife thats started collecting samuri's and because its to cold to use salt on the road in the winter they are rust free so it is possible that or some one took really good care of it or it came from canada but went to the states and came back

Looks like someone either drove somewhere that they didn't salt the roads or cleaned it religiously during the winter! Nice score!

I'm looking for a late 80s early 90s cherokee 2 door for an offroad toy.. I wanna chop the top off of it and build a cage for it if I can ever find one for a decent price.

Thank guys!

It does need a few touch ups here and there...the roof does look it does have some fading but hopefully the portercable can take care of that! :D

Hopefully soon add the red/clear tail lights and then all clear lenses on the front.

Hey tego I know this is a little late, but I was wondering how you liked your 4runner. reason I ask is because I just came across a guy selling a '90 4runner with v6 4x4 5spd for 1500 and to beat it all it seems to run really good.

How are they as far as tq goes, I'm not looking for the next speed racer besides that's what the x is for. I just want something to take some miles off the x and maybe play in the mud once and awhile.

for that they will be fine if im not mistaken they made 150ish hp and 180ish ftlbs at the crank from the factory but given that they have 456 or 488 gears they do pretty well off road in stock trim

Nice 4runner. My first vehicle was a 93 4runner. I've had it for 7 years and my mom was the original owner, it's been through a lot of changes since she had it. They're great rigs. I recently installed the red/clear tailights and someone tried to steal them within a month. I found them hanging by the wires broken because you can't remove them without opening the tailgate.
Here's a few pics.
