Very nice runs dude!! 95-96mph trap is good for being stock with the blower. A 13 sec pass would be possible with that trap if you get your launch into the 1.8-1.9s. But other then that you'll need a bit more power.

I can't launch... am I whiner? j/k, my best 60' to date is only 2.19..

congratulations on the nice times bro... looks like you just gotta practice a little more...but other than that nice times bro. now you need a S/S and Sittin Sic's Track Drop...:top: you will definitely see better traction with the drop and your shift will be a lot crisper. nice job bro...

i doubt he will get better traction with the drop if he goes with a block in the rear. its the opposite of what you want for helping traction.

i thought shane was coming out with coil overs and composite leaf springs drop?...:hmmmm2: wasn't he calling it a Track Drop Setup or something along those lines...

i know he wouldn't get any better traction with a block drop...but with the coil overs and composite leaf springs he will get a lot better traction...

Yeah, and the S/S won't help too much on times either I bet.. you miss 1-2nd a lot more with these notchy things IMO. :dontknow: Still those are awesome times for bone stock.. when he gets all the bolt ons done it's over with.. probably fastest TRD S/C times we've seen. :top:

He's working on a shock to compliment the drop leafs. Even then those leafs are designed for cornering, not launching. The composite leafs actually hinder drag strip launching because of the lack of weight transfer.

With suspension you get launching, cornering or comfort. And never all 3 together, and rarely will will you get two together (at least if one is actually designed for performance).

S/S will do wonders for shift time... the more time you spend shifting the less time you spend accelerating. As for being notchy, that is per vehicle. Mine is smooth as better, and I can shift it almost as fast as an auto when I try.. I'll get a vid of my shift speed..

There has been 3 TRD s/c on this site that have hit 13's already.. trd_sport, xxrunnaxx, and myself. But all of us have had full bolt-ons. Needless to say, if he can crack 13's with a stock blower, then the rest of us need to learn how to launch. because we should be running mid 13's.... or faster

I'll get it into the 13's next time out, I'm 100% positive on that. With my ET Streets at about 11psi i definitely wont spin the 1-2 shift and i should be able to launch it around 3500 maybe higher. I'm just worried about grenading the rear end, or dropping the driveline.

i was running 11psi in the stock tires, and the gas light came on after the 10th pass. its not a lot of weight but it does make a difference. and i definitely need a SS i think i can knock off atleast a tenth with just a SS. but i do want to get a 13 with just tires. Then its time for the modding to begin Intake, Exhaust, APR controller, and eventually a custom built pulley :top::biggrin::top:

I doubt it, my track is still above 3000 ft. Maybe if I went to dallas someday I could pull it off

i dont think you'll gain that much going 4wd, the power loss to turn the front end will counter the better launch. but hopefully you'll prove me wrong

I used to launch my supercharged 2000 4WD extra cab Tacoma in 4HI and shift it out of 4WD after the 1st to 2nd shift. But that was with a std. transmission not an automatic. My best 60' time with that truck was 2.05. BTW, a perfect reaction time at our track is 0.500, we're not on the 0.000 system yet. The launch was at 5,000 RPM with the stock clutch. I wish the 1GR clutch could take that kind of abuse.
