funny noise

So sometimes after shifting from 1-2, i get a funny noise for a second or two.
It's right after going into 2nd, and it's not a grind, but sounds like a bearing?

i know some have complained about the throwout bearing - is this it?

If it's your throwout bearing you'll know because it will probably get worse.

If it is your throwout bearing it will be a squeak noise, the best way to know is see if it makes that noise while idling. If it does, push the clutch pedal in and see if it goes away immediately. If it immediately goes away with the clutch in, and comes back with the clutch out, its the throwout bearing.

Most of the time you will hear the throw out bearing when your sitting still with the truck out gear with the clutch out, you press the clutch in and it will go away. Im not real sure what noise your talking about :hmmmm2:

it is quiet while idiling... so not the bearing
wonder if it is a bit of clutch slippage then

i only get it going into second, and only for a second, and not always - can't seem to pin down why (throttle load, etc):argh:

do you have a SS?

not always under Hard acceleration
and yes, have the URD SS

Sounds like the rubber in your shifter is going to crap. Do you hear the noise in 4th, and 6th also? Listen carefully.
