I wanted to see some pics of your grills.... Im not sure Im a fan of the deep recessed look but a inch or so might be kool..... Please post up some pics.

Mine is about a inch and a half- inch and 3/4. But I had to trim some of the headlight to get the grill to go back in place, so I wouldn't go any more shallow than that. 2" should work ok.

I think the MX grill looks good recessed or flush.

It seems to look deeper with the shadows, but here's a couple.

IMO...the deep recessed grills dont look as good.

I think when they are both recessed just a small amount like 1" or something looks really good. Having both the top and bottom recessed both look the best to me, or maybe a flush top and a recessed bottom would look ok too.
