Not so much. Most of my girl friends down in the States have weapons as well. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'll shoot a gun just as much as the next person on the range or hunting, but I don't understand the idea of OWNING so many guns.

People collect anything for a variety of reasons; aesthetics, historical value, interest, etc. Guns are a part of American culture and history so it's not too surprising Americans buy guns. Just as much as Americans, as well as Canadians I noticed, like to drive larger cars and trucks instead of driving small economical vehicles. My family in England like to mention how almost every American drives a truck and owns a gun, I mention back how almost every English person drinks tea and has bad teeth:laugh:
