Shoot, it would be pretty damn cool to see a group of XR's roll up and attend the event. Take some pics and post em up man.

Make sure your oil is topped off. ;) Are you taking the famiky this time?

Just gave it some new RP 10w30 last week :) and live by myself so don't have someone telling me what not to do :top:. And if enough XR's came they might just give us a class of our own (since we really cant accumulate championship points anyways.)

They got them SCCA events here in Oahu, it just seems like everytime they are holding them I am at work... Definitely the way to go about pushing your truck. :top:

All signed up for both days this weekend. Got the SS track drop/QA1's on this past weekend so I guess I'll get to try it out on the course this weekend. Probably going to run in STX Class now against some rustangs.

I'm running in STX also. I think that I mentioned that already in this thread. I ran the track package and QA1s the last two events. The first time was with my street tires because I forgot me lug nuts for my X Rims. This last time I brought everything that I needed to use my track tires (Nitto NT01). I found that the truck did the best with the QA1s at 6. Seemed like anything above that and the truck wanted to push out in the turns. Driving styles would make difference too. If power through the turns then you'll find that 6 or less would work best for you so the weight will transfer to the back easier. If you're one that wants to haul ass into the turn and keep momentum through it, then you would probably prefer to have them 7, 8, or maybe even higher to assist in preventing the body roll in the back. You will find out quickly with this kit that your TIRES are now the weekest link. You'll probably end up like me if you keep this up and buy another set of rims and getting some sticky track tires.

Yeah already been looking at new rims/tires for this. Was thinking of getting a set of four 9.5 wide (or two 8.5 front, two 10 rear) Varstoens since they seemed reaonably priced racing wheels.

Get some footage of it. :top: I am curious to see how differently it handles with you new setup.

Bond has some good points as well. When the time comes for me to be able to track it, I mught get myself a second set just for some track tires as well.

Well runs went good today. Seemed like the stiffer the better for the QA1's, did my best lap with it at 11. Tried it at 6 and it turned into a drift fest (run 2). Camera mount didnt suction to the windows properly so i just wrapped it around the headrest, thus the crappy view. Going to try and attach it to the handel on the front pillar tomorow and see if i can get better shots. Times were pretty consistant with a sec or so better here and there. Lost to some WRX's in my class but feel like i did good overall. Main difference between the kit and not is now i notice I can do the turns quicker but deal with understeer more.

Oh and the clanking noises in the first couple vids is just the bars to lower the spare tire moving around lol. Realized i didnt have them secured from the last time i took them out.

Ya those dates should be fine with me. Get in touch with me a couple days prior and we'll plan it out. I'm excited about getting to install one of these!

I like that track. With a little more power under the hood, it will be easy to shorten the time between turns. :top:

Makes me so ready to be able to run mine.
