hp touchpad install

Ok so I sold my alpine w200 to a friend and decided I wantee to do a tablet...
It's all powering my jl 300/4 with xr comps up front and a w3 stealth box

Cut out everything

Cut new sides from 1/8 abs plastic

Fits nicely, super glue to hold in place temp..

Backplate tacked in

Electromag charger..got it on clearance

Mounted flush with backplate, epoxy drying

Nice and flush again

How it sits ... Before faceplate

Lower plate being installed...

HP touchpad 32 g 230. Rooted it with cm9
HP touchstone charger 39.99 at compusa
Random plastics and glue and epoxy 30 ish

Still need my Bluetooth receiver 45
Equalizer setup 60 for my setup

The eq I'm getting will give me a 7v preout and bass control and boost for the loss of bass over a a2dp setup...

don't know if you have tested the audio yet BUT a problem i had with mine was i went with a direct hook up from the tablet to the amp the volume and it was not loud enough... I'm having to use some type of preamp to boost the volume... also i found it a pain to adjust the volume on the touch pad..

i guess a big difference is I'm using windows 7 instead of android.. don't know if that had anything to do with my volume issue then also i was using Bluetooth to get Pandora to the tablet...

That's why I'm using a eq so I can boost all the settings i need too. Volume will be controlled by a remote mount volume knob. I don't want to use a hard connection to the tablet incase my passenger wants to play angry birds....

cool i just wanted to pass on any issues to help out sounds like you have it all thought out....

im going to get this so i can still have a radio... it has an optional CD player but i cant remember the last time i used a CD... lol

Man that looks awesome! On a side note I have a touchpad also but have been resistant to put CM on it... does it work well? Any issues?

I'm running alpha 0.6 so I have np camera, no hd video like youtube or netflix...

That's all I've noticed. Thay have alpha 2 to fix the hd video problem, but I'm waiting for a camera fix too

I wilk be using the logitech bluetooth wireless receiver and the Jl audio cl-lrc for my volume control...

Next week is when my stuff will be In. Then I will have a video update ..

I put CM alpha 2 on my touchpad, man it blows HP webos out of the water... if it wasn't for you posting this I'd still be running webos lol! Can't wait to see it installed and operating in the truck!

Ya cm9 Is pretty legit. Have you ovetclocked yours to speed It up?

I did when I had webos on it to 1.5 ghz, I used the f-15 kernel, I don't know if its still active being that I ported CM9 now, I haven't actually checked yet, I'm impressed how fast it is now and could only imagine it if I could actually overclock it more!

can u wire the tablet so that u can use it as ur monitor for the backup camera?
