If your willing to spend a few dollars I would swap a tundra rear end out with 3.73 gearing from a salvage yard and put that in there I have been thinking about it as well...

Helical geared, 3:1 biasing, faster responding than clutch pack, longer lasting than clutch pack, out perform clutch pack. As told to me from a rep at Eaton.

What is the problem?

Did you blow your gears or just wear out your LSD?

If you wore out your LSD, put a TruTrac in it.

If you blew your gears, you can order a replacement 3rd Member with new gears and a TruTrac already installed from www.JustDifferentials.com and ask for Carl. Tell him Gadget sent you.

That way when you get it all you have to do is pull the axles and drop the whole assembly in.

Again, when you say the rear is blow, are you talking about the gears being busted??

Hey G,

How good of a price can that Carl get? A full third member looked to be about $1500?

Dirty,

interested to hear your experience with them .....

Don't know. Call him.

I have bought a few TrueTracs from him.

I normally setup my own gears and diffs, but I think when I do my 2010 4RUnner I am going to have him ship them to me complete ready to install and the front with the ARB air locker. Just don't have time to fuss with that stuff these days.

im about to put that tru trac on order. as far as gears and pinions go...do u think a stock assembly would suffice or do u have another recommendation?

if they are not stripped/broken/damaged then there is no NEED to replace them. If you wanted to you could get replacements and/or re-gear for a different final drive ratio

There aren't any good aftermarket ring and pinions out there, that are good for street gearing. Unless of course you do the T56.

There are ring and pinions available from Toyota though. They offer a wide variety of ratios.
