OMG Put in my new URD short shifter , wow what a difference, Shifts faster , smoother , easier.
Enjoying driving so much more.
Forgot what it was like , I had 1 in Ol'Blue but was 1 the the few mods I left on it when I traded it.
Have to slap it over to go into reverse easier.other than that its like a different beast.
If you don't have this mod done it really is worth the money.
Gotta go drive this truck some more (I'm loving it !!! )

Now if you get a coupe modified shifter on top of that, it'll multiply the awesomeness by at least 10. Lol

That is usually one of the very first mods.

I am pleased to hear you are liking it.

The spring is really stiff so its harder to get into reverse

Mine is easier now that I put the Redline MT90 in.
This really is well worth the time and money spent.

It's easier to use the weight of your hand in motion than to armstrong it.

Where did you guys get the red line from?

You can get it at your local Red Line retailers, as well as buying it online. Check here:
http://www.redlineoil.com/dealers.aspx

Plug your truck's information into here, and you'll see which Redline products to use:
http://www.redlineoil.com/application.aspx

For my 2008, I use MT-90 75W90 GL-4 Gear oil in my transmission, and 75W90 GL-5 Gear Oil in my diff. Redline's GL-5 gear oil has sufficient friction modifiers that you don't need to add anything else to keep the LSD's clutches from premature engagement (05-08 XRunners have clutch-type LSDs).

Sorry for the question here, but what is the difference for the coupe mod' shifter? I owned a X years ago when it first came out and sold it two years later. Been itching to get a new one lately and started browsing this site for some information before I pull the trigger.

UPDATE - Just saw a separate post answering my question. Understood it's modified by a member on here.

Thinking about the URD short shifter.
Most short shifters increase the shift effort, how would you rate this one?
