Great write-up DS! I make cut and paste that into a sticky for this section.

Dude I clean the X once a week and I wont even tell you how much I wax/glaze . I have developed a method to cleaning the X.

Polishing should be kept down to a minimum (as needed). You can only polish your clear coat so many times before it becomes very thin and needs to be repainted.

I use Sonus glass polish:

All of the Sonus chemicals are excellent, professional grade, and end user/consumer affordable.

Picked up some Astro Shield today at autozone for 14 bucks. Stuff is great and a little bit goes a LONG way. used it on a 16ft and a 27ft boat. worked way better than the meguiars marine wax too! Oh yeah, also used it on the X after
