Sand Mountain + New Rail = Good times

Got my rail out for its first trip last weekend and holy crap did it haul ass!!!!! :blurock: Beat a ws6 (T/A Motor) powered rail by 2 lengths. as expected on the first trip there were a few bugs i had/have to fix. A steering, GRADE 8, heim joint snapped completely in half due to the fact it was so bumpy; Intercooler pipe kept blowing off due to high boost around 12-14lbs on the stock turbo (fixed with a ratchet strap); the alternator's junk; and towards the end of the trip i blew a valve cover gasket due to capping off one of the crank case vents instead of "t" ing into the pcv with the other side. But at the end of the day it was still running and driving when i loaded it up on the trailer. Thats more than most rails can say on their first trip to the dunes. It was a blast. I'll upload pictures and videos as soon as the people who took them send them to me but here's a teaser.

Motor runs awesome, ran outta gears almost. im estimating around 280-300 to the wheels. If u read the post there is a pretty big leak due to the drivers valve cover gasket letting go due to me hurrying and getting things done. I think the cam seals are toast too but im just happy that it was still running when i put it on the trailer. I think the best (mod) decision i made on it was the cable shifter. OMG its butter smooth. Better than any car i have driven.

now this is my sand dune toy, gonna have to hit up kitty hawk now that I live in N.C.

Enjoy it, I'm sad to have left some great sand dunes a couple hours away from me....
