2013 Classification of Cars
A - Stock Class
Low horsepower, normally aspirated Rear Wheel Drive cars. Only allowable modifications listed below.
A - Modified Class
All A-Stock derived Rear Wheel Drive cars with modifications not permitted in Stock class. No internal engine or boost modifications allowed.
B - Stock Class
All normally-aspirated Front Wheel Drive cars and 4-cylinder All Wheel Drive cars. Only allowable modifications are listed below.
B - Stock Plus Class
All Front Wheel Drive "R-Type" cars (Integra R, Civic SiR, Neon ACR, etc.) Front or All Wheel Drive factory forced induction (i.e. turbocharged/supercharged) cars under 2.0 litres in engine displacement and normally aspirated All Wheel Drive cars with more than 4 cylinders. Only allowable modifications are listed below.
B - Modified Class
All Front/All Wheel Drive cars with modifications not permitted in Stock class. No internal engine or boost modifications allowed.
C - Stock Class
All Hi-Performance cars, typically with large engine displacement, all factory forced induction (i.e. Turbocharged/Supercharged cars) 2.0 litres and over in engine displacement (includes FWD, RWD and AWD cars) and (forced induction / normally aspirated High Output) rotary engines. Only allowable modifications are listed below.
C - Stock Plus Class
All new technology Hi-Performance cars (C5 Corvette, Dodge Viper, WRX STi, etc), typically with large engine displacement or high factory induction boost settings. Only allowable modifications are listed below.
C - Modified Class
All Hi-Performance cars (as listed above in C-Stock class) with modifications not permitted in Stock class. Also includes any A or B family cars with internal engine and/or boost modifications.
D - Home Build (Open)
Home built/Kit-cars/Non-production/Vehicles under 1500lbs. Must meet minimum wheelbase as per CASC/GCR rules.
Allowable Modifications for All Stock Classes
Any make and size of tire and wheel combination. (2% time bonus for street tires)
Any make of shock absorber/strut assembly, including adjustable shocks.
Any modification of the exhaust system from the manifold back (no modifications to the manifold permitted).
Any modification to the air intake system. Modification and/or replacement of the Throttle Body (fuel Injection) or Carb not permitted, unless the substituted part was available as an option through the OEM manufacturer for that engine.
Larger sway-bars permitted provided they were available as an option through the OEM manufacturer for that car (must be Dealer option).
Any alignment adjustment within OEM specifications.
Note: The event organizer reserves the right to classify, on-site, any vehicle that does not readily fit into any of the above car classes.
